As Manager, Project Analytics, you will join the Project Analytics team to lead a small group of professionals while building and maintaining Power BI dashboards for the Construction business. You will be responsible for translating complex Project Controls data into actionable insights for executives by utilizing DAX and Power Query (M Code). Your daily work involves establishing reporting standards, managing project intake, ensuring data quality through QA/QC checks, and collaborating with Data Engineering teams to ensure consistency across portfolio reporting. The role requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or Snowflake. You will also utilize SQL, Python, or VBA to automate processes and manage construction financial performance metrics. This role solves the challenge of providing accurate, real-time visibility into project health, cost, schedule, and risk for large capital projects.
Lead and mentor a team of construction analytics professionals through coaching and career development.
Manage the team's intake process by prioritizing work, assigning resources, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using DAX and Power Query to visualize project health and KPIs.
Establish data QA/QC checks and reporting standards to ensure accuracy across the portfolio.
Communicate project status, cost performance, and schedule updates through dashboards and stakeholder presentations.
Provide roll-up reporting that summarizes performance at both the individual project and portfolio levels.
Document processes and maintain development standards to support data governance and knowledge sharing.
Promote adoption of analytics tools by providing training, demos, and incorporating user feedback.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
8+ years of experience in cost management, project controls, construction analytics, or advisory roles supporting large capital projects.
2+ years of people management experience and/or demonstrated experience leading and developing others in a team environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M Code).
Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT, dataflows, semantic layer design, and cloud platforms like Azure, Fabric, or Snowflake.
Strong Excel skills for data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
Ability to translate technical information for business audiences and influence reporting standards through strong communication and stakeholder management.
