As a Manager of Electrical Engineering for Avionics at Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC, you will lead the vision and execution for avionics hardware development on the Satellite Avionics Bus. Your responsibilities include defining subsystem requirements with cross-functional teams, developing and testing hardware subsystems such as flight computers, power delivery systems, RF systems, and sensing systems, and managing development processes through various reviews and test plans. You will hire and guide an electrical engineering team in tasks ranging from board design to integration and on-orbit operations, ensuring robust designs for space applications. The role requires expertise in ECAD tools, PCB design, debugging, and experience with satellite bus systems and radiation environments. Preferred qualifications include project management skills, scripting knowledge (Python), and familiarity with aerospace standards like MIL Std 1540 and SMC-S-016.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience managing an electrical engineering team.
7+ years designing and testing with SoCs, DRAMs, FPGAs, multi-gigabit interfaces, power converters, sensors, operational amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, high-speed PCBs, and harnessing.
Extensive hardware development experience across the full product lifecycle in relevant fields like Aerospace or Automotive.
Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools, PCB design, debugging microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors.
