Manager, Data Scientist, Data Solutions and Modeling joins the Data Solutions and Model team to build machine learning and AI agents for the Global Payment Network. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver products that support fraud, risk, merchant acceptance, and merchant intelligence. You will build machine learning models through all phases of development, including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation. The position requires leveraging a broad stack of technologies including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, SQL, Scala, R, and Large Language Models. You will work with numeric and textual data to solve complex problems within the payment network, translating technical complexity into tangible business goals while utilizing open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.

What you'll do

  • Build machine learning models through all phases of development including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • Utilize a broad technology stack including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark to analyze large volumes of numeric and textual data.
  • Develop machine learning and AI agents to support fraud, risk, merchant acceptance, and monitoring.
  • Translate complex technical findings into tangible business goals for stakeholders.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods to improve existing systems.
  • Design and implement AI workflows and autonomous AI agents using LLMs and vector databases.
  • Solve large, undefined problems by identifying and improving the status quo through innovative thinking.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience performing data analytics.
  • A Master's degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 4 years of experience performing data analytics.
  • A PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year of experience performing data analytics.
  • At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning.
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Python, Scala, or R.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), embedding models, vector databases, and designing AI workflows.
