Manager, Data Scientist - Card Mainstreet joins a team focused on leveraging advanced computing and machine learning technologies to analyze billions of customer records. You will be responsible for building machine learning models through all phases of development, including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation. To uncover insights within large volumes of numeric and textual data, you will utilize a technology stack including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and SQL. Your work involves applying techniques such as clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning to manage and interpret complex datasets from various sources and structures to drive informed business decisions.

What you'll do

Build machine learning models through all phases of development including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
Use a broad stack of technologies like Python, Spark, and AWS to extract insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
Translate complex technical findings into tangible business goals for stakeholders.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods to improve current processes.
Retrieve, combine, and analyze data from a variety of sources and structures to solve undefined problems.
Develop data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
Mentor and develop the talent of team members across the organization.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience performing data analytics.
A Master's degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 4 years of experience performing data analytics.
A PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year of experience performing data analytics.
At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning.
At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases.
A PhD in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics (preferred).
Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis and SQL (preferred).
