Manager, Cloud and Data Platform Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the application and data technology stack in Google Cloud, including GKE, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and data workloads using Cloud Build or GitHub Actions.
• Build and manage batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest data into BigQuery.
• Develop the analytics data layer by designing datasets and SQL-based transformations for reporting.
• Implement infrastructure as code to automate provisioning and environment setup across all stages.
• Manage data governance, security controls, and IAM roles to ensure compliance and data privacy.
• Monitor platform health by implementing logging, tracing, alerting, and service level dashboards.
• Develop AI agents to automate workflows and accelerate development across infrastructure and applications.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability, cloud, platform, or data engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery) and production data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud services including Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery, and IAM.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python) and strong SQL skills.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support development and automation.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows, including orchestration, data modeling, and data quality practices.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision making skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Google Cloud certification (preferred).
• Experience with GitOps tooling, event-driven architectures, or API gateways (preferred).
• Experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow and BI tools such as PowerBI (preferred).
• Experience developing AI agents to automate workflows and accelerate delivery (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
