Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and train sophisticated machine learning algorithms to power the core recommendation system.
• Develop complex predictive models using large datasets to increase product engagement.
• Engineer high-quality feature sets and training data schemas optimized for recommendation algorithms.
• Execute rigorous offline model evaluations and online A/B tests to measure algorithmic performance.
• Create and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, validation, cleaning, and monitoring.
• Translate business requirements into scalable algorithmic solutions and production-ready code.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation, including model architectures, evaluation plans, and API specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on machine learning projects.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience using statistical computer languages such as Python or R.
• 3+ years of experience manipulating big data using tools like BigQuery.
• 3+ years of experience operating databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Experience developing various machine learning techniques like clustering, decision trees, and artificial neural networks.
• Experience developing advanced statistical techniques including regression, properties of distributions, and statistical tests.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with cloud-based environments, Spark, Linux, scalable applications, or recommendation services (preferred).
