Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and scale machine learning systems including training infrastructure and data ingestion pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ML models for inference performance and power efficiency.
• Build and maintain large-scale data curation and processing pipelines.
• Implement custom operations in CUDA or perform low-level GPU kernel optimizations.
• Deploy production-ready ML models into Apple products to meet specific throughput requirements.
• Develop robust, modular, and well-tested code using Python, C++, and PyTorch.
• Solve complex problems at the intersection of machine learning, systems engineering, and performance optimization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• 10+ years of hands-on industry experience building production ML systems with a track record of design and implementation leadership.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and PyTorch.
• Deep familiarity with ML-centric flows including training procedures, dataloaders, profiling, debugging, and model deployment.
• Familiarity with computer architecture principles.
• Proficiency in AI tooling and high-level design skills to build robust, modular, and well-tested code.
• Preferred Master's degree specializing in ML systems, performance engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with CUDA custom ops, GPU kernel optimization, distributed training, and vision algorithms for visual data.
