Machine Learning Engineer, Revenue+, Level 5

What you'll do

• Identify high-value opportunities to improve subscription growth, monetization, retention, and subscriber value.
• Design, build, and deploy ML systems for personalization, ranking, propensity modeling, and lifecycle optimization.
• Own the full lifecycle from ambiguous business problems and data exploration to production deployment and iteration.
• Establish technical direction and best practices for new Revenue+ machine learning capabilities.
• Build reliable, observable, and scalable production ML systems to serve Snapchatters at significant scale.
• Utilize AI tools to design and ship scalable services while maintaining standards for security and correctness.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to shape product strategy and prioritize ML investments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical work experience.
• 5+ years of post-Bachelor’s machine learning experience; or Master’s degree + 4+ years; or PhD + 1 year.
• Experience developing and productionizing ML systems for ranking, recommendation, personalization, propensity modeling, or monetization.
• Experience taking ML systems from ambiguous problem statements through experimentation and into production.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and software engineering foundations.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to streamline development while auditing for architectural integrity and security.
• Advanced degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
• Experience with causal inference, uplift modeling, experimentation, or customer lifetime value (preferred).
