Machine Learning Engineer, Notifications & Personalization

What you'll do

• Train and deploy machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
• Develop and optimize model training and evaluation pipelines to ensure high-quality features.
• Implement on-device inference for iOS using Python, Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
• Design and run evaluation frameworks to measure model quality and user engagement at scale.
• Build instrumentation and telemetry pipelines to collect and analyze user signals from large populations.
• Select and prepare privacy-preserved datasets for training through preprocessing and data collection algorithms.
• Optimize models to perform within strict device constraints regarding power, memory, and latency.
• Translate ambiguous user needs into measurable signals to improve user-perceived quality.

What we're looking for

• 7-10 years of experience shipping and evaluating at scale.
• 7-10 years of experience training and deploying machine learned models.
• 7-10 years of experience building great user experiences.
• 7-10 years of experience working on embedded operating systems.
• Proficiency in implementing supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques using Scikit-Learn, CoreML, and CreateML.
• Ability to develop code for on-device inference using Python, Objective-C, Swift, and C++.
• Experience building features within constraints of performance, memory, power, and privacy-preserved data collection.
• BS, M.S. or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (preferred).
