Machine Learning Engineer, Level 3

What you'll do

• Build and deploy machine learning models for core Snapchat products.
• Apply established ML techniques to solve well-defined, real-world problems.
• Manage the ML lifecycle including data analysis, model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Design and ship scalable services using high velocity engineering workflows.
• Maintain rigorous standards for code correctness, security, and production-ready quality.
• Implement and launch ML-driven features with cross-functional partners.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent years of practical work experience.
• 1+ years of post-Bachelor’s machine learning experience or a Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, or image generation.
• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
• Ability to solve open ambiguous problems and work well independently or with cross-functional partners.
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.
• Advanced degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML, or scikit-learn and knowledge of ranking infrastructures (preferred).
