Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy automated infrastructure solutions using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Manage configuration at scale by enforcing consistent system states and correcting configuration drift.
• Write idempotent playbooks to automate repetitive tasks and reduce operational risk.
• Perform Linux system hardening, monitoring, and performance optimization for mission-critical environments.
• Translate stakeholder pain points into technical automation solutions to reduce manual effort.
• Establish best practices and repeatable methodologies for scalable infrastructure growth.
• Mentor team members and provide leadership on the evolution of automation capabilities.
• Ensure systems comply with federal security frameworks such as STIG, RMF, or NIST.

What we're looking for

• Must have 5+ years of experience administering Linux-based environments such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Must have experience managing configuration at scale using Ansible to ensure consistent system state and write idempotent playbooks.
• Must have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies including Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
• Must have experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Must have experience managing systems within U.S. federal government or DoD environments using STIG, RMF, or NIST frameworks.
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be willing to take a polygraph exam.
• Must meet specific education and experience combinations: Associate's with 5+ years, Bachelor's with 3+ years, or Master's with 1+ year of IT support.
• Must be able to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III and CSSP-IS certifications within 30 days of start date.
