Lead, Systems Integration and Test Engineering joins a large program team to provide technical leadership across various engineering tasks from proposals to system architecture and hardware delivery. This role involves applying integration and test engineering principles to complex payloads and space vehicles while specifying requirements and architecting I&T approaches for flight hardware subsystems and ground support equipment. The individual will participate in design peer reviews, manage complex tasks involving electrical, mechanical, optical, software, and systems components, and provide on-the-floor execution for system level tests. Required expertise includes a background in systems, mechanical, electrical, optical, or thermal engineering. Preferred skills include experience with TVAC testing, dynamic testing, EMI testing, and end-to-end electrical system testing. The role addresses the technical challenges of integrating hardware and software systems within the space vehicle domain.
Apply system integration and test engineering principles to complex payloads and space vehicles.
Specify requirements and architect integration and test approaches for flight hardware and ground support equipment.
Participate in design peer reviews and plan high-level integration flows to optimize asset usage.
Provide technical guidance on detailed test plans and procedures based on program complexity.
Manage complex engineering tasks across electrical, mechanical, optical, software, and hardware components.
Execute system-level tests on the floor based on specific subject matter expertise.
Maintain a high-level security clearance to support mission-critical defense technology projects.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience.
Minimum of 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Background in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, or thermal engineering.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Technical leadership with System I&T experience (preferred).
Experience in hardware/software integration, TVAC testing, dynamic testing, EMI testing, electrical system testing, or space vehicle integration (preferred).
