What you'll do

Leads detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer features/user stories.
Oversees mission computing and software modernization for the P-8 program.
Translates system-level requirements into software requirements to meet Navy requests.
Conducts code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and standards.
Provides architecture guidance and estimates new business opportunities for P-8 systems.

What we're looking for

9+ years of software development experience on Windows or Linux
5+ years of hands-on experience with Java or C++
Proven ability to lead and oversee software design, architecture, and modernization
Strong background in mission systems, avionics, command & control architectures, or related defense/space programs
Practical experience with requirements decomposition, tracing, and configuration management
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (daily standups, User Stories, Sprints) and SAFe practices
Expertise in standard engineering tools like DOORS, MBSE, Jira, Confluence, Git
