What you'll do

Lead end-to-end application development across the full software development lifecycle to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
Drive technical design and architecture for distributed platforms while balancing performance, resiliency, and cost.
Build and enhance software capabilities for analytics and data platforms including SAS Viya and Databricks.
Develop platform services for onboarding, configuration, and governed access for workloads in on-prem and AWS environments.
Translate business requirements into well-scoped epics, user stories, and technical deliverables in partnership with stakeholders.
Establish and enforce engineering standards for coding, API contracts, testing strategies, and security controls.
Lead modernization initiatives such as refactoring and re-platforming to reduce technical debt and improve productivity.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve development throughput and quality.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience building and supporting production-grade services with ownership of reliability and root-cause remediation.
Experience with cloud and containerized platforms, including Kubernetes and modern deployment practices.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional incident, problem, and change activities with clear communication.
Experience driving CI/CD and release engineering practices to improve deployment frequency and automate releases.
Experience using SAS VIYA, Databricks applications, and Kubernetes for user onboarding, migrations, and troubleshooting.
Experience with full stack development and DevOps practices, including service ownership models and reliability metrics (preferred).
AWS certification or equivalent cloud credentials (preferred).
