As a Lead Software Engineer on the product team, you will design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Python while applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to ensure high standards of reliability and security. Your daily responsibilities include creating secure production code, maintaining algorithms, and developing architecture artifacts that meet specific design constraints. You will perform technical troubleshooting, conduct chaos engineering experiments, and execute performance testing using tools like JMeter. Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Python.
Apply SRE principles including monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery.
Define and measure Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Conduct chaos engineering experiments to test system resiliency and identify weaknesses.
Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter to ensure scalability.
Analyze data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Participate in post-incident reviews and perform root cause analysis for failures.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain complex algorithms.
What we're looking for
Proficiency in coding in Python.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including CI/CD, automation focus, and security.
Experience with AI, MongoDB, and technical processes within a specific discipline like cloud or machine learning.
Understanding of SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, automated recovery, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and chaos engineering practices to test system resiliency.
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter and familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred).
