JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS + Full-Stack) As a Lead Software Engineer within the engineering-intelligence platform, you will join an agile team to build and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. You will design and deliver services across a distributed, multi-tenant platform, including backend APIs, data-collection workloads, data-pipeline jobs, and customer-facing dashboards. Your daily work involves developing secure production code, troubleshooting technical problems, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices. You will utilize Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Django, FastAPI, and React. Technical requirements include proficiency in AWS services, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform. You must ensure a security-by-design posture for software running in cloud SaaS and isolated AWS environments, while managing data residency, IAM, and event-driven messaging within the financial services industry.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Design and deliver backend APIs, data-collection workloads, and data-pipeline jobs for distributed, multi-tenant platforms.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
Champion a security-and-privacy-by-design posture including data residency and least-privilege IAM throughout the development lifecycle.
Operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes using Helm and provision infrastructure via Terraform or similar tools.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript (strongly preferred).
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and software applications within a technical discipline like cloud or AI.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud-native experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience with core AWS services including EKS, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, EventBridge, IAM, IRSA, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
