What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs including security, performance, and automated testing.
Design and deliver backend APIs, data ingestion workloads, and dashboard components across distributed multi-tenant platforms.
Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Champion a security-and-privacy-by-design posture throughout the software development life cycle.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for backend and frontend development.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on safe, compliant adoption.
Practical experience with cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as ECR, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, EventBridge, and IAM security primitives.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and designing distributed, multi-tenant platform architectures.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their associated IT systems.
Experience with data pipelines (Databricks, Spark), generative-AI integration, and delivering software into regulated or air-gapped environments.
