Lead Software Engineer
The Lead Software Engineer joins the Secure Access team to lead the architecture and design of microservices responsible for API and web authentication authorizations. This role involves end-to-end software design, defining high-level artifacts like data models and system interactions, and establishing engineering best practices across teams. The engineer will build robust backend platforms, develop data-driven user interfaces using React, and enhance internal developer platforms using Backstage. Serve as the senior escalation point for troubleshooting complex production issues in distributed systems.
Mentor engineers and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure high standards of maintainability.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in backend development with Java technologies including Core Java, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST/SOAP web services.
Experience working with Oracle or SQL databases.
Extensive experience in software development, system design, data structures, algorithms, and troubleshooting complex large-scale distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with AWS (Azure is a plus), Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk or equivalent.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Knowledge and experience working within the security or access domain (preferred).
