What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for automated testing, peer reviews, and secure coding practices.
Optimize back-end applications to ensure maximum speed, reliability, and scalability across various platforms.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Research new technologies and best practices to provide technical leadership across the organization.
Build and maintain performant microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud services.
Present and demo products to users, stakeholders, and various technology groups.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
8+ years of experience in Java development fluency.
Experience with Core Java & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux, and Spring Security frameworks.
Experience in Web UI development using ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Relational database development skills including SQL and data modeling.
Experience building performant microservices and developing applications on AWS using Lambda, ECS, S3, Aurora, and API Gateway.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI usage.
3+ years of technical leadership experience (preferred); experience in Reactive Programming, DevOps, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Financial Services (preferred).
