What you'll do

Design and build scalable data pipelines and microservices using Java, Apache Spark, Scala, and Spring Boot.
Engineer systems capable of processing billions of customer data points with low latency and high availability.
Integrate AI coding assistants and autonomous agents into daily development workflows and automated testing.
Develop backend architectures and APIs that interface with AI/ML models and LLM endpoints for data enrichment.
Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of back-end and data engineers.
Optimize Spark jobs and SQL queries across RDBMS and NoSQL databases to minimize costs and maximize throughput.
Utilize AWS services like EMR, Glue, and Lambda to build cost-effective cloud architectures.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated pipelines to ensure data quality and zero-downtime deployments.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred).
7+ years of professional engineering experience utilizing Java, Scala, Python, or Go (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Advanced SQL and NoSQL database systems (preferred).
3+ years of hands-on cloud experience (preferred).
3+ years of experience working with various open source frameworks (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Apache Spark performance tuning (preferred).
Proficiency in leveraging AI-native development tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot (preferred).
