Lead iCloud Insights Engineer, Services Data Science & Analytics

What you'll do

• Own and drive the data product and application strategy for iCloud services.
• Build full-stack web applications that turn large-scale data into interactive, actionable insights.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities like natural language querying and automated insight generation into data products.
• Partner with Data Science teams to define metrics, design datasets, and develop automated pipelines.
• Architect next-generation executive reporting solutions and self-service tools for business partners.
• Set technical direction and best practices for application development while mentoring other engineers.
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects from initial architecture and planning through final delivery.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Visualization, Data/Analytics Engineering, Data Science, or Software Engineering with a progression into senior leadership.
• Experience building and deploying custom web applications using frameworks like React, Streamlit, Flask, Django, or Next.js.
• Practical experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities such as RAG, prompt-based interfaces, and agentic workflows into applications.
• Strong SQL skills for designing data models and pipelines to support interactive applications.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and familiarity with large-scale data engineering concepts and pipeline development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence senior partners and represent technical direction.
• Proven ability to lead projects independently, mentor other engineers, and manage high-visibility initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
