As a Vice President - Java Engineering and Generative AI at Morgan Stanley's Fraud Technology group, you will lead the development and enhancement of real-time fraud detection platforms by integrating machine learning and Generative AI capabilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing high-performance microservices in Java or Scala, architecting scalable solutions with LLMs and vector search technologies, and driving cloud-ready deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Lead the design and development of high-performance Java microservices for real-time fraud detection.

What we're looking for
10+ years of hands-on Java engineering experience with strong knowledge of performance, concurrency, and distributed systems.
Practical experience with Generative AI technologies including LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, and model deployment tools.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed caching, relational databases, and messaging middleware like Kafka.
Experience building cloud-ready applications using Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and Prometheus.
Technical leadership skills to guide engineering teams in best practices, mentoring developers, and promoting innovation.
