Lead Electric Propulsion Engineer, GNC

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of electric propulsion systems including propellant storage, magnetic circuits, and cathode design.
• Perform detailed system performance and risk analyses to support design trades and mitigation plans.
• Act as a delegated design authority to approve production non-conformances and changes to engineering artifacts.
• Identify and assess technical risks across the development, manufacturing, and flight operations phases.
• Define test plans and requirements for hardware validation, including integrated tests in large vacuum chambers.
• Establish procedures for in-flight responses to off-nominal scenarios and support active flight operations.
• Lead root-cause and corrective-action investigations involving multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• 5+ years of experience with electric propulsion technologies through design or test.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent (preferred).
• 7+ years of developing electric propulsion technologies through design and test cycles (preferred).
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production (preferred).
• Experience with the project management of technical projects (preferred).
• Experience with Design of Experiments, electric circuit design, or finite element analysis for electromagnetic fields/fluid flow (preferred).
