JOB TITLE: Lead Data Engineer (Bank Tech) The Lead Data Engineer (Bank Tech) joins the Bank Tech team to help build an internal, integrated, and fully modernized core banking platform. This role involves collaborating across Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions within a full-stack development environment. You will build common capabilities and real-time technology solutions for critical lines of business, including Retail Bank and Commercial Bank. Key responsibilities include performing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other engineers. You will utilize Java, Scala, Python, and SQL alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Mongo and Cassandra. The role requires expertise in cloud-based data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake, as well as distributed computing tools like Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build and maintain distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
Utilize Java, Scala, Python, and various RDBMS and NoSQL databases for data processing.
Develop and manage cloud-based data warehousing solutions using Redshift and Snowflake.
Deliver robust cloud-based solutions to drive customer experiences for retail and commercial banking.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure performance and design quality.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on new technology trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred).
4+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
