Familiarity with GPU-accelerated data processing and multi-tenant performance labs is also essential.

What you'll do

Run and maintain reproducible benchmarks for watsonx.data configurations.
Build workload suites that reflect real customer query mixes and data volumes.
Ensure every published performance result is fully reproducible and rigorously documented.
Develop and operate the benchmark harness platform for job scheduling and orchestration.
Manage capacity and utilization of dedicated GPU and CPU clusters for performance testing.
Operate performance regression gates in CI/CD to triage failures and drive issue resolution.

What we're looking for

2+ years of professional experience in performance engineering or related fields.
Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, and shell scripting.
Experience operating Linux servers, Kubernetes, and container runtimes.
Fluency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
Hands-on experience with GPU-accelerated data processing and memory hierarchy.
Familiarity with observability tooling including metrics, tracing, and dashboards.
Experience building bespoke benchmark harnesses and workload generators.
