As a Senior Performance Engineer on IBM’s watsonx.data team in Austin, TX, you will play a critical role in measuring, defending, and enhancing the platform's performance and cost-efficiency for analytics and AI workloads. Your daily tasks include running industry-standard benchmarks, building customer-representative workload suites, ensuring reproducibility of results, and operationalizing key performance metrics. You will also develop and maintain telemetry pipelines, dashboards, and scorecards to provide actionable insights to engineering teams and leadership. Additionally, you will manage the lifecycle of dedicated performance environments, including GPU and CPU clusters, and build infrastructure-as-code for provisioning test fleets.
