Junior Network Administrator, Analyst

What you'll do

• Maintain the smooth operation of voice and data networks.
• Install, reconfigure, and maintain hardware and software elements for communication networks.
• Manage network infrastructure components including switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, and encryptors.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational instructions and system diagrams.
• Perform regular monitoring and analysis of in-house systems for short- and long-range planning.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for network equipment maintenance and support.
• Propose and implement solutions to optimize costs while ensuring redundancy and network uptime.

What we're looking for

• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
• An active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• A bachelor's degree with less than 2 years of experience or 4 years of equivalent experience in Network or IT Systems Administration is required.
• Experience with networking equipment including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems is required.
• Willingness and availability to work outside normal business hours as needed.
• Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months and CCNA certification within one year.
• Preferred experience includes Cisco ISE, SolarWinds, and setting up client server environments for government networks.
• Preferred skills include Visio diagramming, fiber standards, STIG compliance, and knowledge of encryption devices.
