As a Java Software Engineer II within the Trust and Safety Technology group, you will join an agile team focused on enhancing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components. You will analyze large data sets to solve technical problems and manage upstream and downstream system implications. Experience with AWS and financial services is preferred for this technical engineering position.

What you'll do

Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components within technical products, applications, or systems.
Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate code, refactor, and create unit tests.
Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure application development.
Manage software development life cycle tasks including CI/CD and application resiliency.
Troubleshoot and solve technical problems of basic complexity while considering upstream and downstream implications.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on Java software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to code, test, troubleshoot, or document.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and security expectations.
Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Experience working with cloud technologies, both internally hosted and AWS (preferred).
Experience working in the Financial Services industry (preferred).
