IT Undergraduate Intern
The IT Undergraduate Intern joins the Dell IT team to develop intelligent solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Working alongside experienced engineers, architects, and data scientists, the intern will build software applications, AI-powered tools, and automated workflows for employees and customers. Daily responsibilities include designing Generative AI assistants, implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and managing cloud-native platforms while ensuring responsible AI and security standards. The role requires a strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals like data structures and algorithms, alongside proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++. Candidates should have familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, and prompt engineering. Desirable technical skills include experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Git, and CI/CD tools across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms to solve complex business problems through innovative technology.

What we're looking for
Pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
Possess a strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++.
Show a demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or personal initiatives.
Possess familiarity with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
Exhibit strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with AI/ML technologies such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar tools (preferred).
Experience building AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, chatbots, or intelligent automation projects; exposure to cloud platforms; and experience with APIs, databases, Git, or CI/CD tools (preferred).
