Investment Lead, Intercept

What you'll do

• Source new investment opportunities by proactively engaging networks of researchers, investors, and founders.
• Conduct deep technical and scientific diligence on companies to evaluate science quality and development plans.
• Execute the end-to-end investment and grantmaking process including legal coordination and internal approvals.
• Develop and publish points of view on promising technologies to identify key gating data points for capital deployment.
• Manage the portfolio by identifying and removing bottlenecks to accelerate project timelines post-investment.
• Map demand-side hurdles across regulatory, clinical, reimbursement, and adoption channels.
• Maintain the CRM system to ensure all projects are captured and tracked systematically.

What we're looking for

• Hold an MD/PhD in immunology or infectious disease.
• Have 2+ years of investing, BD/partnering, or grantmaking experience in immunology or infectious disease.
• Alternatively, have at least 5 years of biotech investor experience in immunology or infectious disease at a VC fund.
• Possess experience with portfolio management, including construction and post-award management.
• Ability to translate scientific diligence into strategic investment recommendations and capital deployment views.
• Have product development experience or broad exposure through investing in or supporting companies.
• Demonstrate project management skills from launch to completion as a "project quarterback."
• Be an extremely self-directed, fast learner and excellent communicator who is action-oriented.
