Serve as an internationalization expert, raising awareness and setting best practices across Netflix teams.
Champion the adoption of ICU and CLDR standards, ensuring effective use by all teams.
Define and drive the internationalization roadmap, communicating priorities clearly to stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership to product and engineering teams on global-ready architecture.
Embed with product teams to improve code localizability and externalize content for localization.
Build backend services and frontend applications to support Netflix’s global scale requirements.
Design and implement conformance checks at code submission and build time for internationalization.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in internationalization engineering for web platforms.
Strong foundation in software design, architecture, and internationalization best practices.
Experience delivering scalable, high-performance applications on AWS.
Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Java, and Spring Boot.
Deep knowledge of Unicode, ICU4J, CLDR, and related standards.
Hands-on experience with internationalization tooling and automation.
