Intern Engineer, Mechanical

What you'll do

• Apply classroom-learned engineering skills to projects supporting national defense services.
• Work with collaborative teams on technical projects associated with core mission goals.
• Develop solutions for customers to execute high-stakes national security missions.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot issues within a technical environment.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in research-oriented work to develop practical solutions for national security.

What we're looking for

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Preference for a standing of sophomore or higher in the engineering program.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
• A Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire (preferred).
• Creative thinking and an ability to grasp and apply new information quickly (preferred).
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills (preferred).
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments (preferred).
