Integrations Operations Engineer

What you'll do

• Write and deploy maintainable, tested code to resolve high-impact integration issues in production.
• Monitor production systems for regressions or performance degradation after shipping code changes.
• Analyze data to scope the impact of issues and prioritize tasks based on business value.
• Diagnose and package reproducible cases to drive issue resolution with external financial institutions.
• Apply mitigation techniques through internal tooling, configuration changes, and external outreach.
• Perform code reviews and act as a primary owner of the integrations codebase.
• Manage the integrations issue backlog through regular triage, auditing, and process improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain the uptime of Plaid's integrations.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in a highly technical role such as software engineering or technical support engineering (preferred).
• Experience developing web services, APIs, or clients and integrations that interface with them (preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging instincts to investigate complex issues and drive them to root cause (preferred).
• Analytical and data-oriented approach to problem-solving, including comfort slicing data using SQL or similar tools (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical problems to both internal teams and external partners (preferred).
• Proven ability to identify and improve processes and increase efficiency (preferred).
• Track record of resolving a high volume of technical issues with both quality and speed (preferred).
• Familiarity or experience with TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, and/or Golang (preferred).
