Infrastructure Engineer, Kubernetes As an Infrastructure Engineer on the Intelligence Systems team, you will own and advance the Kubernetes container orchestration strategy across both Google Cloud Platform and bare metal deployments. You will manage the full cluster lifecycle, ensuring reliability and scalability for a platform spanning cloud hubs and on-premise edge nodes. Your daily responsibilities include implementing GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices to ensure robust workload deployments, managing a Helm mono-repo, and handling dynamic configurations. You will partner with the Edge-Cloud Reliability pod to reconcile workloads on local hardware. The role requires expertise in Kubernetes, containers, GitOps tools like Flux or Argo, and IaC. This position addresses critical technical challenges in deploying and maintaining consistent infrastructure across diverse environments to support specialized engineering products for Intelligence Community customers.

What you'll do

Manage the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters across both cloud (GCP) and bare metal environments.
Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure robust and repeatable workload deployments.
Maintain a Helm mono-repo while implementing best practices for managing dynamic configurations.
Ensure the reliability and scalability of platform workloads from core cloud hubs to edge nodes.
Partner with the Edge-Cloud Reliability team to deploy and reconcile workloads on on-premise hardware.
Serve as a subject matter expert to strengthen the team's overall container orchestration capabilities.

What we're looking for

Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Clearance.
Mid-level expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Ability to manage both cloud (GCP) and bare metal environments.
Experience managing a Helm mono-repo and implementing best practices for dynamic configurations.
