What you'll do

Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies to maintain operational posture.
Develop and update critical security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Risk Assessment Reports.
Perform vulnerability and risk-assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation activities.
Manage configuration management for security-relevant hardware, software, and firmware while evaluating the impact of system changes.
Support security-authorization activities in accordance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms for information systems.
Maintain detailed records for network components including workstations, servers, routers, and firewalls.
Serve as the Approval Authority for Information Systems under your control as required by the program.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Four years of direct experience as an ISSO may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Fifteen years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher is required.
Experience in at least two areas: security tools, hardware/software implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques.
Demonstrated experience with information-system security policies, documentation, and day-to-day operations.
Experience performing risk assessments, system changes, and supporting NIST RMF authorization activities.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
