Information System Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform and review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with information assurance standards.
• Design, develop, and implement secure information systems while integrating robust security measures into the system lifecycle.
• Manage risk analysis and mitigation strategies for critical IT systems throughout the program life cycle.
• Create and maintain all documentation required to obtain and maintain a system's Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Implement and validate system security controls using STIGs and SCAP tools to ensure configuration compliance.
• Enforce secure designs for trusted relations among external systems and manage changes while assessing security impacts.
• Conduct field maintenance, system grooming, installations, and testing to ensure optimal performance in operational environments.

What we're looking for

• Must have a BS degree and 8–12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a US citizen with a valid US passport.
• Proven experience in a hybrid role combining system administration with information assurance.
• Demonstrated experience as an ISSE, ISSM, ISSO, or SCA.
• Experience creating documentation to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Proficiency with STIGs and SCAP tools for configuration tracking and compliance.
• Deep understanding of the Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Hold one or more of the following certifications: Security+, CISSP, CISM, CAP, or ISSEP (preferred).
