TL;DR · Hydraulic Assembly Technician

As a Hydraulic Assembly Technician, you will join a specialized team responsible for building high-precision hydraulic assemblies used in critical naval systems. Your daily tasks include assembling cylinders, actuators, valve manifolds, and HPUs according to detailed engineering drawings, ensuring zero tolerance for leakage or contamination. You’ll use precision measuring tools and calibrated torque equipment to install seals, O-rings, and dynamic sealing elements while conducting hydrostatic proof-pressure tests on completed assemblies. Familiarity with SUBSAFE, SOC, and Level I requirements is essential as you maintain compliance with naval standards and support customer inspections. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hydraulic assembly experience, proficiency in torque-controlled fastener installation, and knowledge of cleanliness-controlled assembly practices.

What you'll do

  • Assemble hydraulic components per engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Install seals, O-rings, and dynamic sealing elements with precise specifications.
  • Perform hydrostatic proof-pressure and leak testing on completed assemblies.
  • Conduct functional testing to verify actuator response and speed.
  • Document test results and maintain compliance with SUBSAFE requirements.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of hydraulic assembly or precision mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and detail drawings.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Experience installing hydraulic seals, O-rings, and dynamic sealing elements.
  • Familiarity with hydrostatic and pneumatic test procedures.
  • Willingness to work any shift and overtime as required by production schedules.
  • Must hold a U.S. Secret security clearance.
