As part of the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) High Performance Computing (HPC) team, you will work with cutting-edge supercomputers and technologies to support scientific research in technology and national security. Your role involves designing and developing the HPC environment by integrating software into the facility’s ecosystem, contributing to new system tools, and software stacks. You’ll need expertise in Linux systems administration, cluster management, package managers like Spack for software deployment, and experience with container technologies such as Singularity/Apptainer. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, knowledge of build systems (Make, CMake), and version control systems is essential. Additionally, you should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to support researchers in scientific computing settings. This position can be hired at either PT2 or PT3 level based on experience and qualifications.

What you'll do
