What you'll do

  • Maintain Linux-based HPC clusters including parallel file systems and high-speed interconnects.
  • Install and configure Linux operating systems, file systems, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Automate system administration tasks and compile software using BASH scripting.
  • Manage HPC workloads and configuration using Slurm, Git, Salt, and Ansible.
  • Monitor systems and perform incident response, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
  • Harden, patch, and tune Linux, UNIX, and Windows systems for improved performance.
  • Perform resource utilization and capacity analysis to optimize operations.
  • Provide technical support and status communications to agency management and internal customers.

What we're looking for

  • Hold a TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
  • Possess a B.S. in a technical discipline and 5 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar programs.
  • Possess 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Hold a DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux OS, file systems, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in BASH scripting, software compilation, and installation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with observability tools including Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, and Nagios.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with HPC workload and configuration management tools including Slurm, git, Salt, and Ansible.
