Health Insurance Data Analyst

What you'll do

• Analyze healthcare claims data, including medical and pharmacy claims, in commercial or Medicare environments.
• Develop algorithms and systems to turn disparate data points into objective answers for clients.
• Translate complex technical analyses and analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Lead the development of data-driven projects and guide teammates through technical tasks.
• Use Python and SQL to perform advanced analytics on structured and unstructured data sets.
• Provide deep understanding of data meaning to advise clients on informed decision-making.
• Manage Medicare risk adjustment policy or Part C and D program operations.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience serving on analytics teams and leading data-driven projects.
• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data, including medical and pharmacy claims, in commercial or Medicare environments.
• Experience with Medicare risk adjustment policy or Part C and D program operations.
• Experience in advanced analytics and coding, including with Python and SQL.
• Ability to translate complex technical and analytical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage Encounter Data and Prescription Drug Event data (preferred).
