Head of Markets Finance Desk Technology, Director

What you'll do

• Formulate and drive the technology strategy for modernizing core Markets Financing platforms.
• Define and execute the AI Engineering strategy to improve development productivity and software quality.
• Lead and mentor a global team of software engineers while providing technical guidance and code reviews.
• Own the architecture and design of scalable, distributed enterprise applications.
• Manage complex technology projects from conception to delivery while ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Oversee CI/CD automation and identify system bottlenecks to enhance performance and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to systems, processes, and regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing global development teams in a fast-paced business environment.
• Deep understanding of Java-based distributed systems, event-driven architectures, caching technologies, and cloud-native architectures.
• Highly credible hands-on engineer (Java) capable of performing deep-dive codebase analysis and providing constructive feedback.
• Demonstrated experience in building, replacing, and renovating scalable cloud-native platforms and legacy systems.
• Experience working in Fixed Income Financing products, specifically Repos, inventory, and collateral management (preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of the Fixed Income products lifecycle from execution to settlement (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire software engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
