What you'll do

Oversee the entire Test, Evaluation, and Operations organization including test site management and engineering activities.
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and UAS operators.
Implement Operational Risk Management (ORM) practices to ensure safety-of-flight for all ground and flight operations.
Manage and operate multiple domestic and international test sites while identifying new locations to meet product needs.
Oversee the execution of acceptance tests for a range of unmanned systems from small drones to Group 5 UAS.
Ensure all personnel maintain necessary training, certifications, and compliance with FAA regulations.
Provide technical support for proposal activities and engage in direct communication with external customers.
Execute an annual operating plan while managing budget, schedule, and organizational growth strategy.

What we're looking for

Must have direct accountability for leading an organization of at least 25 people.
Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
Must possess a technical undergraduate degree or equivalent technical experience and training.
Must have experience managing, participating in, and owning a flight organization and its associated sites.
Must have experience with airfields, runways, airspace, frequency management, munitions, and ground/flight test scheduling.
Must have experience in test, subsystem testing, and qualifications tracing to end-system tests.
Must possess knowledge of risk management, aviation safety training, and FAA compliance.
Must have experience planning and executing UAS missions for Group 1-5 unmanned aerial systems.
