Join the dynamic Theater Strike Weapon System program as a GNC engineer, where you will apply your expertise in missile guidance, navigation, and control to develop algorithms, models, and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and C++. You’ll work on high-fidelity simulation software, integrate complex models into 6-DOF C++ simulations, and collaborate with the Flight Software team and customers in an Agile DevOps environment. Key skills include proficiency in rigid body dynamics, control theory, and strong math abilities, particularly in linear algebra and matrix math. Experience with Extended Kalman Filters, FORTRAN, and distributed processing is highly desired. This role demands a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance for long-term employment on this critical program.

What you'll do

  • Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to develop algorithms.
  • Integrate Matlab/Simulink models into 6-DOF C++ simulations.
  • Develop high-fidelity simulation software using C++, Python, and other languages.
  • Create unit tests for simulation software on high-performance computing clusters.
  • Implement simulation software in an Agile DevOps environment with Kubernetes.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience using MATLAB and Simulink for feedback control systems.
  • C/C++ programming experience with strong math skills in linear algebra and statistics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile DevOps environment.
  • Experience developing high-fidelity models and simulation software.
  • Demonstrated ability to document analysis results clearly and communicate complex technical issues.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance for long-term employment.
