We are looking for a Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer at the senior level to join our team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers. This role involves designing, integrating, and testing algorithms for inertial tracking, navigation, and sensor fusion in missile and fire control products. You will develop complex models and simulations, evaluate system performance in various scenarios, and verify requirements at both system and subsystem levels. Additionally, you will present technical material to internal leadership and external customers. The ideal candidate holds a BS or MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field with experience in navigation algorithm development, inertial tracking, and real-time GNC implementation. Proficiency in MATLAB is desired, along with relevant exposure to Kalman filtering, multi-sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques.

What you'll do

  • Design and integrate algorithms for inertial tracking and navigation in missile systems.
  • Develop complex models and simulations to aid in the validation of embedded algorithms.
  • Evaluate system performance in various scenarios and environments, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Implement and debug GNC algorithms in real-time operational settings.
  • Present technical material to internal leadership and external customers during briefings.

What we're looking for

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or applied mathematics.
  • Experience with navigation and inertial tracking algorithm development using advanced filtering techniques.
  • Ability to implement and debug GNC algorithms in real-time environments.
  • Proficiency in evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and verifying requirements.
  • Interim Secret Clearance required; Active Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Strong technical presentation skills for internal leadership and external customers.
