What you'll do

  • Design and implement advanced GPS-denied navigation algorithms for various platforms.
  • Validate algorithms through simulation, HIL testing, and rapid flight validation on hardware.
  • Analyze flight test data to refine algorithms and address performance gaps in challenging environments.
  • Develop high-fidelity sensor fusion techniques using diverse sensors like IMUs, EO/IR, radar altimeters.
  • Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in algorithm design and continuous integration.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of professional experience in GNC, localization, or advanced state estimation.
  • Deep expertise in state estimation and sensor fusion with various Kalman filter types.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for algorithm development and real-time embedded systems.
  • Extensive experience with vision-based navigation (VBN) techniques and robust map matching.
  • Proven ability to develop, test, and debug algorithms in real-time embedded environments.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of dynamic systems and sensor phenomenology.
  • Familiarity with diverse sensor modalities for navigation and their specific noise characteristics.
