GIS Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize RESTful backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
• Maintain and enhance GIS platform components including experience APIs and supporting user interfaces.
• Install, manage, and support the ArcGIS Enterprise platform products including Portal, Server, and Data Store.
• Configure and maintain Oracle databases as an ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase with spatial data functions.
• Create and maintain spatial services using ArcGIS Pro projects and Python for map and geoprocessing publications.
• Develop Python and PowerShell scripts to automate business processes, analytics, and data workflows.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines aligned with enterprise DevOps practices.
• Create technical documentation including solution designs, standard operating procedures, and configuration guides.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field, or comparable experience.
• Solid understanding of GIS concepts and hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS technologies.
• Strong OOP skills with experience in Java and Spring Boot to develop RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Oracle databases, including procedural development and ArcGIS ST_Geometry functions.
• Proficiency in Python with working knowledge of Arcade and PowerShell.
• Experience in AWS cloud environments, including infrastructure defined with Terraform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube; experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake (preferred); Esri Technical Certification or GISP (preferred).
