Network Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, plan, and oversee classified and unclassified WAN/LAN networks for voice, data, and video services.
• Manage the integration of internal systems with external networks including NIPR, SIPR, and tactical networks.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot simulation network hardware including Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Execute Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities including Certification and Accreditation processes.
• Maintain cybersecurity compliance by applying system updates, patches, IAVAs, and STIGs to network devices.
• Establish and maintain encrypted network connections to external entities for constructive simulation exercises.
• Monitor network performance and perform scheduled backups and recovery testing.
• Coordinate network requirements and designs with other training sites and external communication organizations.

What we're looking for

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must currently possess a Secret security clearance.
• Must have a BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in network architecture design, implementation, and management.
• Must hold a Security+ certification to meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
• Must possess advanced knowledge in network planning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and hardware/software components.
• Must be able to apply Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology and perform related cybersecurity tasks like applying patches and STIGs.
• US Citizenship.
