FWA Network Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, plan, and implement classified and unclassified MTC WAN/LAN networks for voice, data, and video services.
• Manage the integration of external networks including NIPR, SIPR, and tactical networks.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot internal simulation networks using Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Execute Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation activities to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
• Apply system updates, quarterly patches, SRG/STIGs, and configure access control lists on network devices.
• Plan and execute encrypted network connections to external entities for constructive simulation exercises.
• Monitor network performance and conduct scheduled backups and recovery testing.
• Coordinate network requirements and design responsibilities with training units and external communications organizations.

What we're looking for

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent relevant years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in network architecture design, implementation, and management.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Meet DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II).
