As a Full Stack Software Engineer, Manufacturing, you will join the application software team to develop mission-critical systems that accelerate launch vehicle production and flight operations. You will utilize tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Apache Kafka while working with PostgreSQL or SQL Server databases to build robust software solutions for the production of Starship and Starlink infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across various SpaceX operations.
  • Create new applications to improve internal manufacturing and operational processes.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Own all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle and product development.
  • Analyze user problems deeply to engineer efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Participate in team collaborations regarding system architecture, design, and code reviews.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in full stack development.
  • Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • At least 1 year of rigorous experience building single page web applications.
  • Expertise in designing software systems and understanding testing, CI/CD, build, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React and database technologies like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
