What you'll do

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across various SpaceX operations and systems.
  • Create new applications to improve internal operational efficiency and manufacturing processes.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Take full ownership of all aspects of software engineering and product development.
  • Analyze user problems deeply to engineer and implement efficient technical solutions.
  • Participate in team collaborations regarding system architecture, design, and code reviews.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in full stack development.
  • Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages (preferred).
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts (preferred).
  • Expertise in designing software systems, testing, deployment, monitoring, and profiling application performance (preferred).
  • Experience with build systems, package management tools, UNIX-like operating systems, and configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible (preferred).
  • Experience with in-stream data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, front-end frameworks, and database technologies (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
