What you'll do

Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.
Coordinate with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create seamless user experiences.
Ensure front-end accessibility across all browsers and devices while meeting WCAG 508 compliance.
Implement performance optimization techniques such as code-splitting, lazy loading, and Lighthouse improvements.
Write automated unit, component, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest or Cypress.
Mentor team members through code reviews and guidance on new tools and techniques.
Gather user requirements to inform the design and development of mission-critical tools.
Manage front-end deployments using Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of software engineering experience, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience in front-end programming languages and web development stacks such as Python, React, Node.js, Next.js, or CSS.
Experience with TypeScript for scalable and maintainable front-end development.
Experience writing automated front-end unit, component, or E2E tests using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
Experience implementing performance optimization techniques such as code-splitting, lazy loading, or Lighthouse-based improvements.
Ability to apply best practices and WCAG 508 compliance beyond basic requirements.
Experience with modern CSS approaches (Tailwind, Styled Components, Emotion, or Sass) and CI/CD tools (preferred).
